    Pros & Cons, October 22, 2014
    By

    Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
    Pros:

    – It looks good, exactly as pictured. It’s constructed well, feels solid, not flimsy or otherwise low-quality. It’s not thin (esp compared to recently released phones like the Google Nexus 5 or iPhone 6), but at the same time even with the case it comes in doesn’t feel bulky.
    – The screen is more than bright enough (I prefer my backlight turned nearly all the way down to preserve battery life)

    – Has good battery life, about 2 days idling

    – One unique thing about it is that the menu button is on the right of the bottom row instead of in the middle (and as far as I’ve tried can’t be moved).

    – Have not yet taken advantage of the dual-sim capabilities or tried the phone outside the US but the signal is good

    – No s***ty factory bloatware that’s impossible to uninstall (unlike Samsung phones, for example–which likely helps with the battery life)

    Cons:

    – Despite the 5MP camera (actually the camera app defaults it to 8MP) the picture still comes out a bit grainy.

    – The speaker volume during calls is quieter than I’m used to, even on the highest volume–makes it a bit difficult to hear when not in a quiet environment.

I received a free device to test and review.

Received this Posh Mobile Orion phone and first thing I noticed was the packaging. This company made sure to invest in their packaging properly not like some other cheaper brands. In the box was included: Phone, Charger, USB Cable, Manual, Headphones, Case and Screen Protector. Put in my sim card and connected right away. Internet/download speeds were good. Screen size was good for me. Its not a large screen but still a very nice sized screen. Phone seemed pretty quick, quality seems very good. For anyone looking for a smartphone under $100 this is definitely a great option! Compares to many mid-range Android devices.

The phone itself is a nice piece of machinery, September 27, 2014

After some confusion in tracking the delivery – the phone did arrive within the dates the seller promised. The phone itself is a nice piece of machinery. It comes in a nice package – better than some of the A list manufacturers. And – the phone comes with a screen protector and a bumper case. Pretty nice. Fairly basic in its offerings – but it has Google Play Store – so adding apps is not a problem.
This phone is for my mother in law and it seemed like a nice step up from her flip phone.
Two issues with the phone. The texting app is not good. It does not pull area codes from the contact list – so texts will not go through. However – downloading another texting app took care of that.
Additionally – the set up with ATT was not as simple as just loading the SIM card. After some frustration – I found (with the help of an ATT customer service rep) the instructions on ATT and Posh for changing the APN. That is key if you want to take advantage of your data plan and access the web.
A little more set up than I wanted – but the phone appears to be working well.
